This marked the first t| had erupted in anger towards Sophia. My eyes held no tolerance as my Alpha
aura filled the room with overwhelming pressure.
The air itself seemed to vibrate with my fury. Sophia cowered against the hospital bed, her face pale with
terror
“You destroyed everything,” | snarled, my voice barely human. “Everything | tried to build with Elena
A pack nurse rushed into the room, drawn by the sound of shattering glass. Her eyes widened at the cry
fragments scattered across the floor.
“is everything alright?” she asked nervously, her gaze darting between us.
“Just clumsiness,” | said coldly, my voice returning to its normal tone. “Nothing to concern yourself with.”
The nurse hesitated, clearly sensing the tension, but my dismissive stare sent her scurrying from the room.
Once we were alone again, | turned back to Sophia. My gaze was cold as winter

“Be careful, Sophia,” she warned, her voice turning cold. “You underestimated Elena’s influence over the

The line went dead. | stared at the phone, my world crashing down around me
My hands clenched against the cold hospital floor. Hatred filled my eyes like poison.
I had underestimated Elena Blackwood. But this wasn’t over.

On my way back to the estate, Adrian’s car was forced to stop by my Phantom Rolls-Royce Jacob Hayes exited
his vehicle as Amber Stone spoke tothrough the partition.
Adrian lowered his window, his expression carefully neutral. “Is there a problem?”
“It seems to be Marcus Blackwood, Jacob informed him quietly.
| approached Adrian’s car, my Alpha presence pressing down like a physical weight. “Where did you take
Elena?”
Adrian’s amber eyes met mine without flinching. “I don’t know what you're talking about.”
| leaned into the car, my face inches from his. “Elena is my mate. | demand her return.”
“I did arrange transport for her, Adrian admitted calmly. “At her request. But | don’t know where she went.”
His composure infuriated me. “You're lying.”
“She was the one who wanted to leave you,” Adrian said simply.
The words hitlike a physical blow. | grew silent, my golden eyes hardening with the truth I didn’t want to
accept.
“May | leave now?” Adrian asked politely

That afternoon, | received a text from Marcus saying he would be late. | felt nothing but indifference.
1 blocked his phone number and pack communication link. The digital severance felt surprisingly liberating.
| packed three suitcases with my personal belongings. Everything else stayed behind, remnants of a life | no
longer wanted.
| placed the signed mate bond severance papers and my work phone in a box in the Great Hall. Then | deleted
my biometric access from the estate's security system.
All traces of my life here were now erased.
| called Jacob Hayes. He arrived quickly, surprised at how little luggage | had.
“Gone, let's go,” | said simply.
Jacob helped load my suitcases without questions. He droveto a hotel near the airport.
“Marcus arranged for your brother to be escorted through a special channel at nine tomorrow morning,” he
informed me.
“Thank you, Jacob,” | said sincerely. “Please tell Adrian I'll always remember his kindness.”
After Jacob left, | checked into the hotel. Tomorrow would begin my new life.
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
Early the next morning at the airport, | waited anxiously. Soon, a special vehicle from Shadowme
Center arrived alongside Adrian's car.
Medical personnel quickly assisted David, transferring him into their professional care. Relief flooded through me
seeing him safe.
Adrian approached me. “Remember to call when you reach Riverside City”
“I won't forget,” | promised. “Please tell Dorothea I'm waiting for her in Riverside City.”
After saying goodbye to Adrian, | prepared to sever my mate bond with Marcus before boarding
| felt pain plerce my heart. The six-year mating was finally ending.
| opened my mouth and spoke the ritual words.
But nothing happened. The mate bond remained intact, blocked by sstrange barrier.
Shock and anger coursed through me. Marcus had used magic to preventfrom severing our bond unilaterally.
The airline staff began urging passengers to board. | took a deep breath and walked toward the boarding
stairs.

Even if Marcus wouldn't allow bond severance, he couldn't stopfrom leaving the Northern Territory.

The flight landed on tin Riverside City. Medical staff from Whitmore Healing Sanctuary waited at the
airport.
Elena and the staff wheeled David off the plane. The medical team took over immediately.
The head nurse greetedwarmly. “Adrian informed us of your arrival. David will receive excellent care
I I knew this was due to Adrian's influence as the Whitmore Pack heir. | had researched the sanctuary-a top-tier
private medical institution with resort-like amenities.
| adjusted David's coat, hoping the environment change would help him. | entrusted him to their care and
accepted the head nurse's business card.
Outside the airport, | watched David depart with the medical team. Then | called Professor Theodore
Ashworth.
“Elena!” he answered with obvious delight. “You've arrived in Riverside City!”
“Yes, Professor. I'm at the airport”
“Wonderful! I'll arrange for someone to pick you up immediately.”
Soon, a luxury sedan arrived at Exit 3. | confirmed the license plate Professor Ashworth had sent and
approached.
A middle-aged man exited and confirmed my identity. “My apologies for making you wait, Miss Blackwood.”
He took my luggage and opened the car door. “I'm Benjamin Hayes, Professor Ashworth’s driver.”
| was surprised. I'd never heard of my former professor having a driver. But considering his prestin and
connections to influential werewolf families, it wasn’t entirely unexpected
The car soon arrived at a traditional tea house. | followed Benjamin into the moonlit tea garden, fragrant aroma
