Sophia was waiting expectantly for the slap to land on my face. Her eyes gleamed with malicious
anticipation.
Suddenly, a man appeared, grabbing Isabella’s wrist and pushing her away forcefully.

The man was none other than David Blackthorne. He acted swiftly to defendfrom Isabella’s impending

Isabella, caught off guard by David's forceful intervention, stumbled and collided with a nearby counter. Her

Sophia stepped forward, attempting to mediate. “Elena, how could you allow your brother to harm Isabella?”

Sophia's face paled at his harsh words. The accusation reminded her of past traumas she preferred to forget.
