Chapter 918 Selena's eyes flicked over to the woman nearby-undeniably stunning and elegant, surely someone from a well- to-do background. A twinge of bitterness flashed through her gaze, but she quickly masked it. Maybe that's one of the perks of growing up-learning to hide your true feelings so you don't end up the butt of a joke.
She quickly shifted her focus back to Justin and smiled, "Justin, shall we get going?" Justin, clearly smitten, was all charm and manners, gesturing for her to go first, playing the perfect gentleman as he guided her out.

In the underground parking lot, Justin walked Selena to her car, lingering like he didn't really want to leave. But Selena took the initiative, "Justin, you can stop here." Justin, catching the hint, though clearly reluctant, replied smoothly, "Alright, I'll get the contract drafted pronto and cover to your office for the signing." Holt, who was nearby, couldn't resist a chuckle and quipped, "Justin, shouldn't Ms. Selena be the one visiting your office for the signing?" The implication was crystal clear.
Justin scratched his head with a hearty laugh. Selena couldn't help but grin, "Okay, I'll be waiting." Feeling content, Justin finally turned to leave. Holt opened the car door for Selena, but just as she was about to get in, someone grabbed her wrist, and suddenly, she found herself pinned against the car.
Startled, she looked up straight into Everett's stormy eyes. She scowled, "What do you think you're doing?" Everett didn't respond, just held her against the car with firm intent. Holt, seeing this, thought about helping, but one icy glance from Everett made her back off, spine tingling.
Selena took a deep breath, trying to stay calm; she knew fighting him was pointless and exhausting. "Mr. Everett, what do you want?" Everett glanced down, his expression unreadable, his words deliberate, "Selena, are you following me?" He was alluding to hearing her outside his office in the morning and then seeing her here with another guy for dinner-it couldn't just be happenstance.
He sneered, "Stop these childish games." Selena knew Everett was stubborn as a mule and wasn't about to change. His confidence, unchanged by time, was almost laughable.
