Chapter 924 Since Blaine had cback, there was no way to keep this under wraps any longer. Alexa had been gone for over two months, surely finding a safe place by now. The world is vast, and no matter how mighty Blaine might be, his influence couldn't stretch everywhere.

Selena brought Blaine into the living room, sat him on the sofa, and poured him a cup of coffee. She handed it over with a sense of foreboding. Blaine's eyes darkened as he guessed what was happening. He looked at the coffee with a cold glance but didn't take it. Setting the cup down, she cleared her throat and began, "Uncle, these past six months have been chaotic. Abraham and Joy have turned my life upside down. Joy tried to bribe Alexa to betray me, but she didn't." "She claimed it was because she appreciated my help, but I could see it was because of you." "Even if it meant going separate ways, she didn't want to hurt your family." "Blaine, let the grudges from the past end here. Alexa won't be in your life anymore. Let her go. This was something Alexa had asked her to say, hoping it would help Blaine move on. Though it was harsh, it was better than him being consumed by anger, harming both himself and others, wasting precious time.

Even if Blaine doubted the child was his, hearing it confirmed still shook him, the veins on his forehead standing out. Seeing his reaction, Selena's heart raced, and she held back from saying anything more.

After a long silence, he finally spoke, his voice rough and strained, "Did she leave any message for me?" Selena replied quietly, "She hopes you never meet again, in life or death." Blaine shut his eyes tightly, caught between anger and bitter self-mockery. "She better mean it and never show up again. I'll consider her dead; otherwise..." He didn't finish, but Selena understood. If they met again, it would likely spell disaster...

Later that night, Selena cuddled with her daughter Haley in bed, reading a bedtstory. Haley, a bit distracted, looked up at her mom with wide eyes. "Why doesn't Uncle Blaine smile? Is he sad?" Haley hadn't seen Blaine much, but he adored her, often playing with her. Plus, Blaine was handsome, so Haley was quite fond of him.

Selena gently stroked her daughter's hair, thought for a moment, and sighed, "What is love, really? It just breaks your heart." Haley didn't understand, tilting her head in contemplation.

Looking at her daughter's chubby, adorable face, Selena couldn't help but think of her infuriating husband. During dinner, Holt had called, saying Everett wanted her at Bennett Corporation to sign the contract personally, or he wouldn't approve the deal.

The next day at Bennett Corporation, in the CEO's office, Everett was going through spaperwork when a knock on the door interrupted him. Alex entered shortly after.

"Mr. Everett, someone from Irwin Enterprise is here," Alex announced.

Everett put the documents down, leaning back in his chair with a casual air. He couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Selena's cooperating this time?" She was so upset yesterday, he thought she might stir up strouble again.

Alex's expression was a bit complicated, as if she wanted to say something but held back. Everett didn't notice, closing the file and getting up, striding out eagerly.

Watching his enthusiastic exit, Alex silently prayed, "God bless me." Everett reached the conference room, adjusted his attire to perfection, then pushed the door open. Inside, Blaine was seated in a swivel chair. Hearing footsteps, Blaine turned, looking directly at Everett.

Blaine stood up, his tone neutral, "Mr. Everett, it's been a while." Everett's smile froze, his eyes locking onto Blaine. "Why is it you?"

Blaine smiled coolly, "Selena's on a business trip. I'll be handling them collaboration with Bennett Corporation from now on." Everett was caught off guard, "So suddenly?" Blaine was unruffled. "Mr. Everett, this is an internal affair for Irwin Enterprise.

We're just partners; I don't owe you an explanation, do I?"

Ava had already filled Blaine in on everything about Selena and Everett. Blaine was all prevail, bus afer seeing true lov prevail, but with Everett being so difficult, as Selena's uncle, he had to back his niece. Everett's expression darkened completely.

Blaine stepped closer, "Mr. Everett,
