Chapter 444
The two proctors shared a knowing smile. When they looked back at Yolanda, contempt shone in their eyes.
How dare she challenge the academy's board of directors? It served her right to be thrown out of the academy
for not knowing her place.
Yolanda was done with the exam paper 40 minutes later.
She submitted her paper with 50 minutes left on the clock till the end of the first subject's examination and
walked out of the classroom.
"I told you, she's just writing gibberish." One of the proctors sealed the written exam paper in an envelope and
walked out of the classroom. "I'll submit her exam paper to the academic office and bring the exam paper for the

The other proctors nodded in acknowledgment and started their preparation to proctor for the next subject.
There were four subjects in the monthly exams, which were language arts, general studies, mathematics, and
Westorian.
The end of the Westorian exam would also be the tschool would end.
Yolanda submitted her papers ahead of tfor every subject and it was no different for the last subject as well.
She grabbed her school bag and made her way out of the school building to find Gavin already waiting at the
door. She quickened her pace and walked toward him.
Gavin and her shared a mutual understanding. They hadn't arranged for a meet- up tbefore this, but
whenever she wanted to see him, he would appear.
"I have something for you," Yolanda said as she took out the cufflinks she had gotten for him and personally
fastened them on his cuffs.
"This is for me?" A flash of warmth surfaced in Gavin's eyes. "My birthday is still very far ahead. What's the
occasion?"
Yolanda pondered. St. Patrick's Day was long gone, and the following occasion would be... April Fools Day.
It was clear that both of them hadn't expected this. Yolanda only bought a gift for Gavin because she wanted to
celebrate reuniting with him, but the timing of that was horrible.
"It's fine. | don't need an excuse to get you a gift." Yolanda smiled helplessly. "You'd better take good care of this.
Don't lose it."
"Since when have | ever lost any of the gifts you've gotten me?" Gavin replied. He
took Yolanda's hand and placed their hands in the pocket of his coat.
Yolanda thought about it and agreed that he had never done that.
Sadly, the gifts that she had gotten Gavin previously could not be accessed anymore.
"Even if I'm not around, no one would dare touch my things," Gavin consoled like he had read Yolanda's mind.
"The Nightshade Guild held so much power, but up till now, it's all still an ununited mess. The people who had
tried their hardest to harmjust did all the work for someone else."
"Yeah." Yolanda nodded. "Actually, after you left, | snuck into the Nightshade Guild to do a bit of investigating."
