Without thinking, Lila turned and sprayed the man with pepper spray.
"Ah!" The man's scream pulled her back to reality, but something was off. "Lila, what are you doing?"

just been, he was already back by his car. He opened the door and got in, but not before turning to give her a
cold, sinister smile.

people around here with that much money?"
